UK Fire safety legislation states that you must provide ‘Appropriate Fire Fighting Equipment’. This normally means Fire Extinguishers, however for some higher risk areas this may include sprinklers or hose reels. A Fire Extinguisher service is essential for every business.

The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 states that you must:

  • Have the correct Fire Extinguishers installed for your business and for these to be in the correct location.
  • The Fire Extinguishers be maintained in good working order and by a ‘Competent’ person.
  • All Fire Extinguishers meet the required British standards.
  • All Fire Extinguishers undergo an annual maintenance test.

Fire Extinguisher Service / Annual Inspection

Annual inspection, installation, commissioning, servicing and test discharging of fire extinguishers should only be carried out by a competent person. All our extinguishers are installed in accordance with the current standard of BS 5306, and all of our units installed have a full warranty of 12 months. All extinguishers are kite marked BS/EN3 and have CE approval.
